Terms of Service

Effective Date: Saturday April 26, 2025.

By registering for and using WestCoGMRS, you agree to the following Terms of Service:

1. Eligibility

• Hold a valid, active GMRS license issued by the FCC
• Provide truthful and accurate registration information
• Comply with all applicable laws and FCC regulations

2. Member Conduct

• Use appropriate language on all posts and communications
• Refrain from harassment, threats, hate speech, or illegal activity
• Identify yourself properly by callsign when posting if requested

Admins reserve the right to remove content or suspend users who violate community standards or FCC regulations.

3. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you create (posts, comments, repeater information), but you grant WestCoGMRS permission to display that content within the website. Admins may remove content deemed inappropriate at their discretion.

4. Site Availability

We strive to maintain site availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance periods or unexpected outages may occur.

5. Account Termination

Accounts may be terminated at the discretion of WestCoGMRS administrators for:

• Violation of Terms of Service
• Failure to provide a valid GMRS license
• Abuse of site features or other members

6. Limitation of Liability

WestCoGMRS is operated as a community volunteer effort. We are not responsible for damages resulting from use or inability to use the site. Use WestCoGMRS at your own risk.

7. Modifications to Terms

These Terms of Service may be updated. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
